China Fashion Association (CFA) is a national organization registered at Ministry of Civil Affairs of P.R.C. CFA was founded in 1993; its headquarter is located in Beijing. CFA have both individual members and group members, including fashion designers, professionals, fashion brands, fashion media and model agencies. Under CFA, there are 8 committees including Expert Committee, Art Committee, Academic Committee, Models Committee, Fashion Media Committee, Technical Committee, Display Committee and Brand Committee. CFA was honored “4A Social Organization “by Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2010. 

The main activities of CFA include:

1． China Fashion Week
China Fashion Week (CFW) was first held in 1997; now CFW is held twice a year in end March and end October. CFW is a professional platform for both domestic and international fashion brands and designers to release fashion trend, showcase their latest collections and promote brand image. CFW is one of the most dynamic fashion events, and has gained a lot of publicity home and abroad. China Golden Awards and China Fashion Award are the top honor for fashion designers, fashion models, fashion photographers, fashion editors, beauty stylist and original brand. 

2． Fashion Design and Models Contests  
To promote the development of fashion industry and Chinese brands, CFA always respect the intellectual rights of designers and pay high attention to cultivation of talents. CFA has introduced a lot of fashion designers and professional models through the contest such as “Annual Top 10 Fashion Designers”, “Excellent Fashion Graduates Award”, “HEMPEL AWARD International Young Fashion Designers Contest”, “China Model Star Contest”, “China Professional Models Contest”etc.

3． Part-time Training
CFA Training Center organizes part-time training courses for pattern making, draping, and shop display periodically; there are also design management and marketing management courses inviting both Chinese and international professors not scheduled. 

4． International Exchange Activities
China Fashion Association has been actively seeking international cooperation and exchange. It has established good bilateral relationship with fashion organizations in France, Italy, Russia, Japan, Korea, Singapore etc. China Fashion Association has jointly founded Asian Fashion Federation with Japan Fashion Association and Korea Fashion Association. CFA has been actively facilitating the cooperation for fashion design, know-how, brands, licencing between Chinese and International fashion industries.
